
Just like the other Dravidian regions of India, Andhra Pradesh too has a very ancient history. Sathavahana Dynasty ruled this region in the past and they built the beautiful city of Amaravathi, which is currently the capital city again. With a mix of Hinduism and Buddhism, this region flourished during the 6th century BC. Later on different dynasties ruled this region and throughout the past, the present Andhra Pradesh region is said to be good in trade with wealthy merchants and agriculturists. Even today, Andhra Pradesh holds a prominent place in agriculture.
