Overview
The Al-Farooq Masjid, built in the year 1980, is a complete nonprofit, non-political, religious organization in Atlanta.
The Masjid owns an academic religious-parochial school (Dar-un-Noor School) with 200 students from pre-K to 8 learning all academic subjects including Islamic Studies and Arabic.
They also necessitated establishing a hostel in 1994 (The Atlanta Dar-ul-Uloom) for full-time resident students, owing 27 students, two qualified full-time instructors, and a dorm warden till now.
Apart from the mosque worships, programs, and education facilities, the Masjid also performs Nikkah ceremonies on a daily basis.
To meet worship requirements the Mosque built Masjid Omar Bin ‘Abdul-’Aziz in the Norcross area of Atlanta. It happens to attract lots of Muslims for five-time Salahs with over 100 Muslim children attending afternoon Quran and Islamic classes every day and over 400 Muslims for Friday Salah as well.
