The temple got located in Ponce de Leon Ave in 1972. Established in the 1980s The Al-Farooq Masjid is a nonprofit, nonpolitical, religious organization. This is one of the largest Mosques in the Southeastern United States. The Masjid also has an academic religious parochial school with 200 students learning all academic subjects including Islamic Studies and Arabic.
